Onyemachi Nwabueze Umezurike is a distinguished Nigerian artist and academic known for his dynamic artistic practice. His art spams productions in graphic desgns and printmaking, which he uses his works to depict events not limited to social life and how political decision affects people particularly in the African setting.

He works using several medium in the artistic production while his graphic design productions involve the use of computer aided software such as Abode suite, Corel Draw etc. His printmaking production is a cross attempt of methods combined and this is exemplified in his ability to develop the printmaking process called "Sericut" which was initiated and explored during his PhD programme.

His gallery of works is a mixture of several topical themes that mirror society and has been used to add a voice to topical issues. He is the coordinator of Friends'N'Art Initiative (an art and life-based platform) and works as a public speaker while maintaining active membership in several professional bodies. He is a lecturer in the Department of Fine Arts and Design, Graphic Unit, at the University of Port Harcourt, Choba, Rivers State, Nigeria. He actively participates in national and international exhibitions and contributes to workshops and academic conferences. His scholarly works in art and design practice have been widely published.
